I made some more changes this week, and I think I’ve seen some improvements. I even have a new inductee to the 100 Club! I think I’ll eventually get the hang of this game. I like the photos I post, and I’ll keep working to make them more visible so more can see them!
This first one is pretty recent, so I might see some more attention trickle in… and hopefully more than the trickle pictured. I’ve looked at other photos of Shoshone Falls, and it’s a roaring torrent. We caught it during a dry spell, but the area was still beautiful, and it was a pleasant way to end our road trip. If you missed it, be sure to check out the entire adventure here.
These next two are lingering images of the local sakura, now long gone. I love their fleeting beauty, and I try to get a few shots each year. This first one was also my submission for Leanne Cole’s weekly Monochrome Madness.
This one’s a bit of an oldie, and it was for this week’s photo challenge, “surprise.” This was back in my jpg days, so I don’t have quite the same quality or control as my other photos, but I still like the vantage and selective color – and the setting, of course!
This was from our trip to ‘Cisco – a complete surprise to me. Aaron planned the whole thing, took us down the coast, through the redwoods, and then back up through Crater Lake after celebrating the 4th on the bay. He’s really quite good at planning these things, and I love to be surprised.
More from Yosemite! As long as I have more to share, you’re going to keep seeing ’em! It was a photo trip, after all!
This should look somewhat familiar; this is another from Coyote Wall. I still can’t get over how verdant that hillside was and how rich the blue sky. A perfect day for a hike.
And here’s the top photo for the week! This is from our incredible day hiking through the Devil’s Garden in Arches. This is also a new member of the elite 100 Club! Over 100 likes. I anxiously await the day I’ll see the next to join my lone member of the 200 club.. I did something right that day, and I’m still not sure what!
