This Week on Instagram: 6/2/17

I’ll be honest – this post was scheduled about a week ahead of time.  Usually, I do these the day of, but I couldn’t be sure of my connectivity, and I wanted to make sure you still got a post.

So, instead of posting these in order of likes (since I don’t have that data yet), this is in order of my own personal preference.  I’ve commented before how I tend to like some photos more than the Instaverse masses, so I guess this is a chance to show you what an artist thinks of her own work.  I welcome you to let me know your favorites below!

This Week on Instagram: 5/12/17

I’ve got some fun landscapes this week.

This first one was from our trip to the Palouse.  A quick weekend trip to eastern Washington, most of the weekend was fairly rainy.  However, we managed to luck out with one solid day if dry yet cloudy weather.  The lighting for this photo wound up beautifully dappled.  I loved the contrast of the verdant green against the tan.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

This is also a special post… it marks my 200th!  I can’t believe I’ve managed to write up 200 posts; that seems crazy to me!  But I’m glad to have you all with me.

This week, Instagram saw steady viewership; these were all fairly close.  I’m still trying to get more visibility (that’ll always be the goal), but consistency at least tells me my photos are consistent.  Sometimes, I feel like a slack slightly on what I post, but I generally like all of the photos this week.

First is of a beautiful morning in Yosemite Valley.  We had to come back a second day to capture this, and it was entertaining behind the camera.  If you missed it, you can read that photostory here.

WC: The Greatest Life in the World

I have a pretty awesome life.  At least, I think so.  I am in good health, I am happy with a sweet husband who cares for me, I have two kitties who add tremendous joy to my life, and I have an amazingly supportive family who would stand behind me no matter what I chose for myself.  I have a warm roof in a city I love, I can walk along a beautiful waterfront to a job I enjoy, working with some of the smartest people I know.  I feel successful and financially sound, and I have the freedom to explore my creative hobbies in various parts of the globe.

I recently returned from one such opportunity.  A friend wanted to visit a national park in the wintertime, so he organized a photo trip to Yosemite.  What a blast! Continue reading
