Photo of the Week: Colors

When a photographer is presented with an event full of lights and color, it’s a visual playground that can easily sap away an entire evening.  There are countless opportunities.  You can shoot fast and freeze moving lights, or you can shoot long and paint a rainbow in the shadows.  You can shoot reflections; you can shoot shadows; details, scenes.

Photo of the Week: Acoustic

Yay!  They’re back!  The Photo of the Week was on a bit of a hiatus while I wrapped up the Japan posts, but I now welcome them back with open arms.

I’ve already shared this particular photo on my Facebook and Instagram pages, but when looking over the past week, I kept coming back to this one.  I love it too much to not feature it here.

Japan – Day 2: Yokohama

The sun made all the difference.  Waking up with our alarm at 5am (we always get up at this time), I took a peek outside to see a few clouds with clear sky, and this screamed, “sunrise photo op.”  I happily obliged, grabbing the tripod and wandering just down the street to a small river crossing.  We didn’t have any sort of clear shot, but I still loved the feel of the early morning.  We even saw someone feeding the pigeons, and I caught some seagulls on the river.
