I knew this week’s challenge would be more difficult than usual because I’m working! My favorite event of the year is happening this weekend – Kumoricon. I like to do a lot of landscapes, but I also love candids, which is why I enjoy event photography. Mix that with a healthy dose of anime addiction, and I’ve got one awesome weekend.
This week’s discover challenge is “flaneur” – an observer your surroundings – and the photo challenge is “transmogrify” – transform. What better, then, than an anime convention, where everyone can be whomever they wish? I thrive off the convention scene, not only because of the amazing energy and the fun costumes, but I can also participate in the geek crazy while I do it.
I can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures I’ve been taking this weekend, but I need to run to yet another panel and observe more beautiful transmogrifications!
Want to join me in these weekly photo challenges? Send me an email with a low-res copy of an image (1MB or smaller) that fits either of this week’s themes, or leave a comment on this post with a public link (accessible from incognito mode/logged out) to your photo on Flickr, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Include your blog or website if you have one, and I’ll include your photo and site link in the next post. I post each Sunday, so send your pictures by midnight U.S. Pacific Time (UTC-8) the Saturday night / Sunday morning following each challenge prompt. I look forward to seeing them!
