Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
This is also a special post… it marks my 200th! I can’t believe I’ve managed to write up 200 posts; that seems crazy to me! But I’m glad to have you all with me.
This week, Instagram saw steady viewership; these were all fairly close. I’m still trying to get more visibility (that’ll always be the goal), but consistency at least tells me my photos are consistent. Sometimes, I feel like a slack slightly on what I post, but I generally like all of the photos this week.
First is of a beautiful morning in Yosemite Valley. We had to come back a second day to capture this, and it was entertaining behind the camera. If you missed it, you can read that photostory here.
Next is a shot from Palouse. You should recognize it from last Sunday’s weekly challenge: “wanderlust.” I have lots more to edit from that trip. The rolling hills of farmland was a nice break from the dreary rain of home. Look forward to some posts with more pictures!
This is another from Yosemite. That mist was simply magical, and it showed every day. I have an odd fascination with mist (I’ll have a post soon on that as well), but with it being fairly rare in most places, I suppose that makes sense. Mist just gives a photo that something special.
Next, two in monochrome. I didn’t used to do many black and white images until I started contributing to Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness. Now I have the opportunity to look at the world in a different way. I enjoy that mental stretch.
This one was actually my submission to last week’s. I just loved the details of the needles heavy with snow.
Finally, my top two for the week.. and they’re actually a tie! Both from Yosemite. Which do you like better?

Thank you! I must admit, though.. many of these photos were taken in January, so it was probably quite a bit more snowy then.
Either that or didn’t rain alot of snow yet ????
