I’ve got some fun landscapes this week.
This first one was from our trip to the Palouse. A quick weekend trip to eastern Washington, most of the weekend was fairly rainy. However, we managed to luck out with one solid day if dry yet cloudy weather. The lighting for this photo wound up beautifully dappled. I loved the contrast of the verdant green against the tan.
You should recognize this next one from this week’s post on moonscapes. It’s my new fascination, and I’ll have to explore more with this magical time.. too bad that means some mid-night excursions!
Here’s another from Palouse. I took so many pictures of that rusty old truck. But that sunrise was spectacular!
I’ll be doing a photostory on this trip soon. This was taken at Diamond Lake, a campground just outside of the Crater Lake National Park. I lucked out acting on a hunch we’d get some good morning mist. I was the only one there to enjoy Mother Nature’s magic!
I seldom do self-portraits, but I rather like how this one turned out. This is from my weekly photo challenge post: “danger.” I do some crazy things sometimes, but I get some fun photos out of the deal. I’ll have to do a photostory on this one, too. I don’t always have the brightest ideas, and I certainly shouldn’t act upon all that come to mind…
And surprisingly, this was my most liked image this week. I honestly think I like all of the other pictures this week more than this one, but this is the image to which folks connected. I do like that mist that was a frequent visitor in Yosemite; those views were simply incredible.
Thanks for checking out this week’s sampling of Instagram! Feel free to follow me for daily photos. And as always, I’d love to hear from you – there and/or below. Say hi!
