I’ll be honest – this post was scheduled about a week ahead of time.  Usually, I do these the day of, but I couldn’t be sure of my connectivity, and I wanted to make sure you still got a post.

So, instead of posting these in order of likes (since I don’t have that data yet), this is in order of my own personal preference.  I’ve commented before how I tend to like some photos more than the Instaverse masses, so I guess this is a chance to show you what an artist thinks of her own work.  I welcome you to let me know your favorites below!

This first one was from the Yosemite swamp.  The sun right on the edge of the far mountain was so photogenic.

Then, another from Yosemite.  Sunrise on The Three Brothers.  Photos of the park tend to garner a lot of attention on social media, but I personally liked other photos more this week.

This was my submission for Leanne Cole’s latest Monochrome Madness challenge.  This is also from my recent post on decay.  I have a strange fascination for ruins; there are so many details to take in!

Next, a photo from a different hike.  Abiqua is a lot of work to get to, but it’s a fun adventure!

I really love how this picture from Washington’s Palouse turned out.  This was such a gorgeous scene, and while photos can’t truly capture it, I think this is a decent attempt.

Here’s a somewhat-oldie – perfect for my post on nostalgia!  This is from Seaside, Oregon.  I always find it so peaceful walking along that esplanade, especially as the sun dies over the magnificent ocean.

And my personal favorite from this week is from our harrowing camping adventure in the rain (hyperbole).  I had to survive a closed road and a cold night of rain to scramble down a muddy bank for this one.  But it was worth it!
