Boy, this was a really difficult week to sort these. This set represents so many disparate aspects of my life; it’s crazy to look at sometimes.
This first one was from our eclipse weekend. We met these pack goats at Olallie Lake, on some training missions. This sure seems like a smart way to go backpacking!
This was also my submission for last week’s Monochrome Madness from Leanne Cole.
Wow, we’ve hit September! It’s amazing how time flies. Pretty soon, I’ll be sipping pumpkin spiced lattes and enjoying the brilliant autumn colors. It’s been so hot this summer, I’m ready for fall.
This week on Instagram, I’m afraid I only had six images, as I was sans service for most of the weekend (out shooting the epic eclipse, of course!). And unlike most weeks, I have a clear favorite.
This week on Instagram was exciting! I had so many photos I just love, so it was hard to rank these.
My first one was an amazing sunset we just happened to catch while waiting for dinner at the resort in Costa Rica. We decided to pop out to the beach and we were instantly blown away by this view. Just, wow!

To be honest, a lot of this week was on autopilot – mostly because I was backpacking throughout the Alaskan wilderness with nary a signal to speak of. But I’m back now, and I have so many photos to process! I can’t wait to see them all. I love photo excursions!
This week happened to have quite a bit of wildlife, but when the opportunity presents itself, why not? This set starts with this adorable boar we found on Tortuga Island. He just wanted some cool sand – no matter what!

This first one is from Washington’s Palouse. We took a weekend trip out there, and while it rained part of the time, we still had some beautiful weather in there, too. This is the expansive view from Steptoe Butte. From up top, you can espy everything from canola farms to wind farms. It was quite the view.
Today is my wedding anniversary. Aaron and I have been married now for 8 years. Crazy to think so much time has passed.
And together, we lead a pretty exciting life. It can be stressful at times with how busy we are, but I love every moment of it; we have so many adventures!
And I love sharing them with you.
So I kind of liked posting my pictures in the order that I like, so I think I’ll just do that from now on. After all, I don’t really care about the likes (and I shouldn’t), so why focus on that?

I’ll be honest – this post was scheduled about a week ahead of time. Usually, I do these the day of, but I couldn’t be sure of my connectivity, and I wanted to make sure you still got a post.
So, instead of posting these in order of likes (since I don’t have that data yet), this is in order of my own personal preference. I’ve commented before how I tend to like some photos more than the Instaverse masses, so I guess this is a chance to show you what an artist thinks of her own work.
