TWO5: 9/10/18
Another week has inexorably slipped by.. how did that happen?? My summer has been so ridiculously busy. I really hope it starts to slow down a bit soon. Incidentally, I only got two photos up this week: one on Instagram and one on 500px. I promise more this next week.
TWO5: 8/27/18
This week, I fell a bit behind, so I didn’t get any new photos posted to Instagram (shock!). I feel bad, but the craziness of life just got away from me this time around. You might have noticed that I have been focusing my Instagram account on wildlife. For now, I think I’ll continue to do that and see how folks like it. I certainly have lots of wildlife to share!
I did manage to get five new photos posted to 500px, so here they are:
First, a minimalist scene from Washington’s expansive Palouse. We spent a long weekend there last spring, and it was such a beautiful area to explore. One can view rolling farmlands as far as the eye can see, and there’s no end to picturesque covered bridges and red barns to photograph.
TWO5: 8/6/18
Happy new week to you all!
I’ve been talking about it for a bit, but this week, I finally followed through on the “two-five” (TWO5) idea. This week, I posted two new photos to Instagram and five new photos to 500px. I am also trying just wildlife photos on Instagram. We’ll see how I like this new focus.
This first image was from our trip to Mesa Verde National Park. We had to take a tour to get down to the actual ruins, but it was totally worth it. These ancient Puebloans lived incredible lives carved out of these cliff faces. Clambering down death-defying drops to access these fortresses and surviving off of corn and seep springs. TWO5: 7/30/18
Happy Monday, yet again! Another week has come and gone; it absolutely blows me away how quickly the weeks melt by when we’re so busy.
With all the beautiful (and hot) weather, we’ve been visiting the beach, backpacking, camping, con-ing, and spending time with family. Every weekend for the next month or so is booked, and many weekday evenings to boot! But I’m happy with all the excitement, as it gives me lots to photograph.
TWO5: 7/23/18
I’m working on an exciting new project! I love this new idea, and I’ll be sharing it with you soon (can’t wait? my awesome patrons already know what’s happening!).
But while I’ve been working on that, it does mean I haven’t posted much to Instagram lately. I did, however, post to 500px last week, so I have those images to share with you this week.
I also noticed when I update the acronym to reference 500px instead of Instagram, I get a fun “TWO 5” thing going on. (more…)
This Week on Instagram: 5/12/17
I’ve got some fun landscapes this week.
This first one was from our trip to the Palouse. A quick weekend trip to eastern Washington, most of the weekend was fairly rainy. However, we managed to luck out with one solid day if dry yet cloudy weather. The lighting for this photo wound up beautifully dappled. I loved the contrast of the verdant green against the tan.
