Once more, we find ourselves at Friday! I keep experimenting with new things, and I hope you like it. Please let me know in the comments what you think!
This first one is an image from our trip to Hawaii a couple years back. The contrast of colors here really caught my eye, and this is pretty true to how I actually saw the sky as we were lazing under a tree on a tropical beach… sure sounds more appealing than the constant rain we’re facing now!
Next takes us from hot to cold: Yosemite in the winter. I discovered a new fascination with national parks in the wintertime, and we’re gearing up for this year’s! We’ll be heading to Bryce and Zion in a few weeks; expect lots of pictures from that trip!
This one is also from Yosemite. This was the view as we were coming out of the valley, on our way back to our cabin. The low-lying mist was a daily occurrence, and it just added a wonderful element to our photos.
Next: something new! I haven’t done much with stories, but I’d like to do more. They’re a good way for me to showcase some pictures that don’t quite fit the landscape/nature theme of my main feed. These, of course, are pictures of our little demon-cat, Mochi. She turned three yesterday, so this was my little birthday celebration for her. Spoiled as always!
Getting into my favorites from the week, this takes us back to Hawaii. This is a tunnel in Volcanoes National Park on the big island. There weren’t too many people there, as half of the park was closed due to volcanic fumes, so we were able to secure plenty of people-less photos. I like the natural frame in this picture, as well as the leading lines of the railing.
Finally, my favorite this week was also my submission for Leanne Cole’s weekly Monochrome Madness last week. I love the textures of this little guy.
I’m considering branching off a new Instagram feed dedicated to wildlife and moving some of my travel photography to our BIGtinyWorld account. I want to focus my main account to have a more uniform look. What do you think?

I like the winter in yosemite photos! looking forward to your next adventure’s pictures!
Thank you! Winter’s always a tad slow, but I’m gearing up for more exciting adventures for this year. I can’t wait!
i can imagine it’s harder to get out when it’s that cold; but the photos are always gorgeous! snow is beautiful!
Oh, I agree! I love the snow, and I wish I had more of it to shoot. Unfortunately, our winters are usually mostly rain, which isn’t nearly as photogenic.
it’s really not. lol we just moved to georgia, so not likely to get any photogenic snow here.
Super images .. love the ones of Mochi. I would spoil her too
Thank you, Julie! I do love that little demon, and she has us wrapped around her little paw 🙂
