TWOI: 10/6/17 - LotsaSmiles Photography

I like the variety in this week’s set.

First is a shot from outside the Eielson Visitor Center in Denali National Park. I missed this on our first stop into the park, so I was determined to check it out on our way out. Evidently, these two massive moose got locked in a battle – literally. Unable to disentangle their antlers, they both died in the grass. A backpacker later found the skeletons and brought them back to the park officials. Now they’re on display for all to see.

This one is also from Alaska. This was the view from our train. Can you believe it? And this was only the beginning!

Here’s another from the eclipse. This sight is still surreal, even though I witnessed it with my own eyes. The universe is a wondrous and mysterious place!

This one is just fun. This was from my response to this week’s challenge, “windows.” We’re getting into con season, and Kumoricon is just around the corner! We visited Rose City Comic Con for the first time, and they had an amazing roster of guests, including the Phelps brothers (Fred and George Weasley), Weird Al, Brent Spiner (Data), and these two. I was most excited for Peter Capaldi, and he and Pearl Mackie were simply stellar with their fan interactions. I believe this image was taken immediately after a nervous boy finally managed to ask, “who is your favorite companion,” with Bill right there on stage! This is why I love conventions 🙂

Next, have I mentioned I love fall? I’m just starting to see hints of red in the trees, and the Japanese maples are beginning to turn. I can’t wait for autumn in its full splendor!

This one was from Hawaii. This was near the beginning of our trip, where we sought out a nearly deserted beach. We’ve learned there are many types of paradise, and I love them all!

Finally, my favorite this week is another from Denali. Interestingly, this is also from the train! It sure beats driving when I don’t even have to stop to appreciate vistas such as these.
