I can’t believe we’re already halfway through November! Didn’t we just start this year? Time flies when you’re having fun 🙂
This first one is a 6-tile grid photo of the icy Savage River in Denali National Park. Hiking along it was pleasant after the Alpine Trail.
Next is a photo that harkens back to our trip to Arches National Park (the national parks really are something incredible!). This comes from my post this week responding to the photo challenge, “temporary.”
This was my submission for last week’s Monochrome Madness by Leanne Cole. I liked the narrow depth of field on this one.. simple details of my favorite season 🙂
This was also from the photo challenge this week. Uptown Cosplay is one of my favorite people to shoot at Kumoricon – always so expressive!
This one gives a glimpse of the rocks we faced on Day 2 of our wilderness backpacking trek. I’m proud that we survived four miles of rocks, but it’s not something I’d be quick to relive anytime soon. Read all about that segment of our adventure here.
Next, a taste of fall. Most of the leaves have fallen now, but our home is still dappled in these fiery red Japanese maple leaves. The colors are so rich and beautiful.
My last two photos are grid images. I thought these worked pretty well in the grid format.
First is one from our photo trip to Hawaii. We found a stunning rocky beach just south of Kona Airport. I loved the texture, colors, and reflections of this spot, and it just calls “paradise” to me.
Finally, I like this angle on the Boardman Tree Farm. It’s in the process of being cut down, which is really sad. I hope to find a similar spot where I can scratch my autumn itch each year.
