Happy Friday, and welcome to almost the last post of the year! I still have one more weekly challenge for this year, but this is the last full week. Do you like these Instagram reviews?
This first image was from our cliffside discovery on the Oregon coast. We were so awed by this day, and I can’t wait to discover similar secrets of the Oregon shoreline.
This one is a bit more abstract and hails from one of my Christmas posts from last year. I just love the simple holiday spirit conveyed in this image. It was my Christmas Day image, and I hope it reflects the joy found in your own holiday celebrations.
Next is my only grid photo from the week. This was my submission for Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness. I liked how the division worked out on this image – one segment with the Denali road and another with the mountains. I’m having fun with these, and I think it’s less mental energy keeping these to one or two a week.
Nearing the top, I have to select a couple of my bear images. This first one was from my recent post on our fourth day backpacking in Alaska. We saw so many bears that day! Notice how there’s even a second on the blurry background?
And more bears! For some reason, this picture has proven to be pretty popular. I kind of like it, myself. Bears look almost human when perched upon their hind legs. A lot have commented that they’re glad the bear was facing away from us.
But I still love my landscapes. This was taken from the bush plane at the beginning of our backpacking adventure. I would have liked to visit this lake, but we simply weren’t up for it when it came right down to it.
But even this couldn’t compare to Yosemite. This is one of my favorite shots from that trip. I hope we’re able to visit another national park this winter; I had so much fun last year. I love how this image turned out. I feel it really captures the spirit of this magnificent park.
I post new pictures every day on my Instagram account. As always, I welcome your comments below!
