Happy Monday, all! Here’s a recap from this week on Instagram to get your week started off right!
This first image is from our epic backpacking adventure in Alaska. I still can’t believe we did that; it was a crazy experience! You can read all about the full journey here.
This next one is from last year in Yosemite. We wanted to explore a national park free of hordes of tourists, and we certainly got that! We recently got back from another such trip to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Read the stories I’ve shared already here, and be sure to follow my blog so you get all the latest from that adventure.
Next, this is from a local hike. The sun was bright that day, but I still loved the contrast of this mossy tree reflected in the creek. The rocks were also steamy that day, lending a slightly mystical element to the scene.
We found this tree in a park in Hawaii. Stepping out of the car, I was immediately awed; I had to photograph it. I still couldn’t quite fit the entire tree in the frame.
Next, another shot from tropical Hawaii. This image just injects relaxation into my day.
Finally, my top two from this week. I had a really hard time deciding which I like better, but I told myself I had to choose. Therefore, this one from Cannon Beach comes first. Wintertime is great for coastal storms. Even when the weather isn’t conducive to lounging on the beach, we still have an excuse to visit the coast and enjoy the raw power of nature.
It was a tough decision, but this rainy image of Zion’s Canyon Overlook won out for this week. The miserable weather only made this attempted sunrise shoot more memorable, and we were ultimately rewarded with the appearance of some unexpected visitors. You can read all about that adventure in my latest photostory here.
