Happy 2024!

2024 Calendars are still available at lotsasmilesphoto.etsy.com!

This time of year, I love to reflect on everything I’ve done in the year.  Of course, that usually results in a crazy-packed Christmas card and endless awe at all of the things we’ve done in a single year.  How can so much be packed into 365 days?

To summarize just the major highlights, this year included:

Wow!

Every year, I also review all of my photos and pick out my annual favorites.  With so much that happened this year, you can probably imagine that’s near impossible!  Yosemite, alone, provided me with so many pictures I love.  But how does that stack up against Alaskan bears?  Or a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse?  I also had many favorite moments from Kumoricon.

So what bubbles to the top of my list?

With so many excellent contenders, I don’t think I could pick just one.  Therefore, you get a few.  It’s also a special treat for my 300th post.

I don’t doubt I’ll find others that I’ll wish had made this elite set, but these represent my year fairly well.  Which is your favorite?

I keep looking back, surprised that all of these occurred this year.  Any one of these events could fill an entire album.  I never slow down, and I always have my camera wherever I go.

Better still, is knowing that I have a new year to look forward to!  It’ll be filled with new adventures and lots of new pictures.  I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!

For more of my favorites from this year, feel free to check out my 2017 Favorites album.

Happy holidays to you all!  I hope the year has treated you well and that you have many fond memories to look back on as well.

  1. Beautiful collection of pictures. It is indeed hard to pick one. With a year that eventful, selecting this set of six must have taken a really long time. Wish you a wonderful year ahead. Happy clicking!

    1. Thank you! Yes, it was quite the exciting year, and it’s always hard to choose my favorites. I look forward to seeing what next year brings 🙂
