So I kind of liked posting my pictures in the order that I like, so I think I’ll just do that from now on. After all, I don’t really care about the likes (and I shouldn’t), so why focus on that?
This first image was from our trip to Washington’s Palouse region. Those beautiful rolling hills don’t get old, and they go on forever!
Yes, I’m still posting pictures from Yosemite. We got so much from this frozen wonderland, and I love to share them! This is from the “swamp,” and you can see that black oak in the center (though it does blend in a bit with the background. I would have loved to find a way to make it more the centerpiece of some of my images, but the lighting wasn’t quite right.
Next, a photo from Abiqua. Please don’t carve into tree trunks, folks 🙁 Stack rocks, or better yet – don’t do anything. Taking pictures will give you lasting memories without damaging trees. This makes for an interesting picture, but I’d rather everyone practice leave no trace.
Another from Yosemite! We got up early to catch sunrise at Yosemite Falls, and we thought it’d be cool to catch that telltale rainbow frequently adorning its base. We didn’t really think about the fact that we’d be standing at the wrong angle. It was still a breathtaking sight.
Next, an oldie. I should write a photostory about this trip. We happened to get a spot on the roster for a company seminar in Miami, so we stayed in the fanciest hotel ($10k wine was sold in their restaurants), ate good food, and cruised the bay – all on the company dime. It was a rare opportunity, and looking at these tropical pictures got me psyched for our upcoming trip to Costa Rica.
This one’s also a bit older. This was my submission for Leanne Cole’s Monochrome Madness, with the theme “repetition.” I’ve posted a color version of this image before, but I also quite like it in black and white.
And finally, my favorite picture of the week is a preview of our trip to Costa Rica. I lucked out with that butterfly dropping in just in time. Costa Rica really is a stunningly beautiful place; I regret only that we weren’t able to spend more time there. I’ll be posting lots more pictures from that trip here, and details on the travel aspects over on our travel blog, BIGtinyWorld.
